I am lucky enough to live between some of the most scenic locations in Southern Ontario. The Niagara and Hamilton regions are filled with breathtaking scenery and timeless charm—a photographer’s dream. From serene waterfronts to elegant historic sites, these photography locations provide the perfect canvas for capturing life’s most cherished moments.

Charles Daley Park holds a special place in my heart. Nestled along Lake Ontario, it feels like a sanctuary hidden off of the QEW. It’s where the beauty of nature meets the calm of the shoreline. With sandy beaches, gentle waves, and open green spaces, it’s perfect for capturing candid, heartfelt moments.

Location 3. LaSalle Park

LaSalle Park in Burlington is a serene escape with a stunning mix of natural beauty and waterfront charm. Overlooking Burlington Bay, the park boasts lush forested areas, tranquil walking trails, and breathtaking views of the water. The picturesque footbridge adds a touch of whimsy and serves as a standout feature for photo sessions.

• Don't worry if it is overcast. This beach stands out with a dramatic atmosphere in any weather.

Location 5. Dundurn Castle Grounds

Dundurn Castle is last on this list, but by no means my least favourite. This location in Hamilton is a place where history meets grandeur. The neoclassical architecture and sprawling grounds tell a story of elegance and sophistication, making it one of my go-to spots for more refined shoots.

• The castle’s stately exterior is a showstopper, perfect for formal portraits or bridal sessions.

• The surrounding gardens and tree-lined paths add a softer, romantic touch.

• Every angle offers something unique, from intricate details to sweeping landscapes.

• Overcast days work beautifully here, as soft light enhances the castle’s details.

• Permits are required for larger groups. If you have a group of ten or more, make sure to keep that in mind.
